Kevin J Taylor - Band DirectorIn his 18th year of education, Mr. Taylor graduated magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Ashland University in 2005, and in 2007 earned his Master of Music while studying conducting under Dr. Joseph Allison at Eastern Kentucky University. Performing groups under his instruction have received numerous recognitions across the state, achieving many Superior ratings in OMEA classes C, B, A, & AA.
Kyleigh Ryan- General Music and Choir DirectorMs. Ryan is in her first year teaching elementary general music and also instructs our Jr High and High School choirs. She has assisted with the marching band for 3 years, working with the color guard students as well as the marching musicians. She is passionate about music and the arts, and could talk to you for hours about color guard. In addition to her roles at Newton Local Schools, she is also the color guard and winter guard director at Versailles Local Schools, where she leads guards grades 2nd-12th. Outside of the marching arts world, she is a 2025 graduate of University of Dayton, where she received her bachelors degree in music education with a primary in voice and is a Milton-Union native.
