High School Band
Marching Band
The High School Marching Band rehearses daily as part of the fall quarter curriculum and has additional practices in the summer as well as evenings weekly in the fall. We are a competition marching band. The band has long been and continues to be successful, frequently earning high ratings at regional and state contests.

Concert Band
The High School Concert Program is the main component of the instrumental music experience at Newton High School. The concert band meets and rehearses daily following the conclusion of marching band season. In addition, after-school sectionals and evening clinics occur in preparation for adjudicated events. The band participates in the OMEA District level contests and makes frequent appearances at the State level. The concert band performs a varied repertoire of works by modern and classical composers.
