Instrument Fittings: Week of Sep 29-Oct 3
Parent Meeting: Wednesday, Oct 8, 7:00pm---fieldhouse community room
1st Class Day: Monday, Oct 20
We're excited to begin our journey with the newest members of the Newton Band program!
Documents about to instrument rental, class schedule, and other important information can be found below.
The book we will be using this year is "Measures of Success" and can be purchased online at Amazon or Rettigmusic.com, or at one of these retail music stores: Trojan City Music in Troy, Rettig Music in Lima, or Hauer Music in Dayton, or other online retailers.
*If purchasing online, be absolutely sure you order the correct book. It would be disappointing to receive an oboe book if in fact you play trumpet.
Please make sure you bring the right book for your instrument to class! All students should have a book & instrument by Monday, October 20.
Concert Date: Monday, May 4 at 7:00pm
A detailed timeline will be released 2 weeks prior to our performance. 5th Graders typically are asked to report at 6:00pm and will be first on the concert. We hope all parents and family can join us for our big debut!

Instrument Rental InformationAll students who do not have an instrument are able to rent one from Rettig Music, our Newton Music Dept. supplier. You are guaranteed a quality product and any student who rents will be set up for success in band class.
